Outside of the courtroom, Lyn is a proud father of three adult sons and a grandfather. A lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee—aside from his time in military service—he is deeply invested in his community. He has coached recreational and travel baseball, remained active in local churches, and served on the Linebaugh Library Board of Directors. He is also a past President of the Rutherford/Cannon County Bar Association. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, creative writing, karate, and golf.

Lyn focuses his practice primarily on criminal defense and estates. Licensed to practice in both the Middle and Eastern Tennessee Federal Districts, he also brings extensive experience in Federal civil practice to the firm. His work spans Circuit Court, General Sessions, misdemeanors, felonies, post-conviction work, and appeals—primarily serving Rutherford County and its contiguous neighbors.
With over 17 years of local experience, particularly within the Judicial District of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, Lyn possesses an extensive knowledge of state statutes, local court procedures, and the specific practices of local prosecutors. This deep-rooted familiarity with the local legal landscape allows him to navigate complex cases with precision.
As a retired Veteran, Lyn offers a unique perspective and dedicated advocacy for those navigating specialized legal paths. He has significant experience working with both Veteran’s Court and Recovery Courts, helping clients find the resources and representation they need during challenging times.
